well I just bought this machine my self and i think it the same as the Bush DVD-2009 with a different front cover. The hack for this machine is Power on your player Press Open/Close Press Zoom Press a/b Press Up Left Dowm Right The DVD player may show a Region free message
Let me know how you get on as i Dont have any region 1 dvds yet.

the alba 113 i got from argos played region 1 straight out of the box it played straight form the streets with ease. however the dvd wont play cdr

i tried gettin this dvd player today from argos. i was given a alba dvd104. im told its the same model. it SEEMS to play region 1`s, but every now and then i get gaps in the sound. then when i tried a region 2 i had the same probs. this is with no hack added, litterally straight from the box.
im probably gonna take it back on monday and get another, but has anyone else had any problem like this??

Gecko Sounds like a dodgy drive to me. try playing a retail CD from track 1 to end and see if the same happens. If it does then take it back.

next time u buy cdr`s, buy the "date safe" brand with the white lable on them. I found that the plane silver don`t work but the one`s with the white lable work ok....let me know if it help`s??????

it plays some regon 1 s and some copys of vcd out of the box stu

after the original problem with the sound on my dvd player, i took it back to argos who replaced it. no worries. plays region 2. plays region 1. lock, stock, the F***in lot! : )
