There isn`t a macro hack around for the Samsung SV-DVD1E,
well, not one that can be done with the RCU.

Does that mean there is a hardware mod that can be done ? or just that there isn`t a hack available yet ?

I think there probably IS a hardware hack that can be performed, as most Samsung`s have been able to be chipped....

Take a look around or wait till someone confirms it!

Probably cheapest method is to get a Sonel Macmaster (scart lead which disables Macro) and route it back into the machine - set video source to external and Voila!

Could you please be more specific with this Sonel Macmaster thing? I searched and found it (http://www.ferlin.com/produkte/macmaster.html) but it is in German! Darn, I don`t speak German :-) and I can`t understand how it works, or how it can be used with this SV-DVD 1E.

It could be very nice of you (or anybody else) if you could offer more detailed info about hacking macrovision for Sumsung SV-DVD 1E model.

Thanks a lot.

The website address is www.sonel.com ,

I would like to recommend them but have yet to see a sample of their product and have had extremely poor service from them by email ...

an email sent on June 26th was not replied to until 9th July and I emailed them again 24 hours ago and am still waiting for a reply ....

I have asked for an explanation of this extremely poor service and if I am satisfied that this is not the norm and I eventually get to see the product in action and am happy with it then I will be more than happy to recommend it ....

Hi guys!!

I have recently bought a SAMSUNG SV-DVD1E and have looked all over the place and not found anything that will disable the macrovision. I sent Sonel an email on the 17th and got a reply today.

Thank you for your interest.

The Mac Master is male scart plugs at each end the 12 volt power supply is now included with the package at the inclusive price of £29.99 and £30.98 inclusive of postage (UK).
Simply connect the Mac Master between the DVD scart socket (see adaptors if phono output) and the AV IN on your VCR. I`m am pleased to here that our product is being praised on such a commendable site.
Regards Sonel

As of Monday morning I will be ordering a Mac Master and will let you all know if the damn thing works. I`ll keep ya posted.
