It may be locked, but chipping seems to be the only reliable long term solution anyway.

Heh - just had an email sent to Reviewer asking Steve of DVDChips to `sod off if he knows a way to recode a Philips 710 but wont tell`!

Come on Steve - if there is a way to avoid the 25 times change limit by the handset, let us know for our multi region pages for the benefit of all :-)

I dont know anyway to do this from the remote ... of course I know a way to recode the 710 and wont tell cos this is business but like I say it is not a method that the man in the street could do , not a simple remote hack ...

The people who really p*** me off are those who only need to run a cd through your player but wont sell it to you!

I can reprogram or unlock any Philips, some Grundig, Lowe, and other philips based players, without the need for chipping. my method also removes the macro vision, as far as I know none of the remote base limited hacks remove the macro vision. email me for more info. 0002_ael_drahcir[at]ku.oc.oohay .
