Alba DVD45 - does this play DVD-Rs?

I have the hack for this model but the main reason i have bought it is because my original one doesn`t play DVD-Rs.
before I make it multi region can anyone tell me if it plays DVDR`s or not?

yeah it does play dvd-rs and dvd+rs,and rewritable dvds.

Well it plays some dvd-rs. A trick to use is to put a proper dvd into the machine first to condition it so to speak and then put in the dvd-r. The player costs less than £30 now so its a great bargain.
