Page 1 of anyone know the hacks for a elta dvd

my son bought a elta dvd player on ebay. it was supposed to be region free and with macrovision off or on.. they are sold by a german company and it is supposed to play back all known files mpeg 4 divx... it does play back. but macrovision is on and it does not play back region 1 dvd`s

Press setup without a disc in player.A menu will appear press in order 49540,then version will appear,select version then you can select 0 for all regions.(if 49540 won`t work try 8888)!

Glad to be of service,I have a Wharfedale M3 which comes out of the same factory,but I`m interested in what the quality of the Elta is like on Divx discs.
