Page 1 of Grundig 220

Please help!






Does anyone know if the Grundig GDV220 can be hacked? I have tried the proline hack but it`s not working, I`ve also tried the Orion one and it`s still not working. Any ideas!?!?!

the Orion hack works on mine. Power on the machine, wait for it to initialise then hold down Open/Close, Stop and Forward for 3 seconds.

I tried that and I don`t even get a hidden menu, I just get nothing......any other ideas???

Can`t think of anything. I`ve had the lid off mine, and it`s definately an Orion chipset. The only thing I can suggest is you take the lid off and see what chipset it has inside....

The Grundig 220 definately has Orion chipset so hack as follows.
1. Power on.
2. ON THE MACHINE hold OPEN/CLOSE, STOP and FORWARD SKIP
together until the hidden menu appears.
3. Using the remote, scroll down to REGION CODES and select.
4. Again on the remote, scroll down to FREE. Select.
5. EXIT the menus and play any region. It works. I have played all my
region 1`s successfully Happy veiwing.

Since you seem to be an authority on the 220, what am I doing wrong if I get the menu but there`s no "FREE" option, just 1 to 8.

Maybe I`m just not doing something on arrival at the secret menu. I know, an amateur, but please help a.s.a.p

OK so clearly I`m really dumb, but I`m telling you when I scroll on the menu it just changes from 1 through to 8. Any suggestions on how I can stop being such a muppet?
