Can`t think of anything. I`ve had the lid off mine, and it`s definately an Orion chipset. The only thing I can suggest is you take the lid off and see what chipset it has inside....

the Orion hack works on mine. Power on the machine, wait for it to initialise then hold down Open/Close, Stop and Forward for 3 seconds.

If it`s the same as a GDV220 then you need to use the Orion fix (see database). Works fine on my 220 ;). Anyway, there isn`t a remote control fix for the 220 is there?

GDV220 uses an Orion chipset, so the Orion hack works. Make sure you set your colour manually to PAL instead of AUTO if your TV doesn`t do NTSC, otherwise any Region 1 disc will be B&W

Proline hack doesn`t work. I got fed up and took mine to bits. It has an Orion chip inside so I tried the Orion hack. Hey Presto! Instant Multi-Region.
