Fight points allocation - something not right?

Recent fight between Fugglestrum (me) and JulianClaryll.

In summary, Fugg won 8 rounds, drew 3 and won the match. JC won 2 rounds, and drew 3.

Ours stats are 72 apart, so no penalty with the "300" rule.

Scoring:
5 points to the winner of a knockout
10 points to the winner on rounds
15 points to both players who draw on rounds
(note that the challenger still gets the win in this situation)
3 points for each round won
1 point deducted for every 30 stat points you are over your opponent`s gremlin after the first 300

So I reckon I should get 5 for the win, plus 24 for the rounds won - 29. JC should get 6 points. Maybe there are also points for the drawn rounds.

Has the scoring changed? It looks like it doesn`t really matter how many rounds you win any more - which could mean that strength becomes more important again, if there`s no need to draw the match out as long as possible.

Same here!

That`s obviously the reason for RJS`s cryptic little ;) on the site news page.

*Edit* And what about this one? Ming`s XP overall was higher than Blue, Ming only won 1 round, Blue won 4 AND won the match, and yet Ming got 6 points and Blue only got 8 :(

If someone doesn`t explain soon, I`m going to chuck all my toys out of the pram and terminate my gremlin >:(

Deep breaths, we changed things slightly again.

You now get 1 XP for accepting a fight, and 1 XP for every round you survive, plus 2 XP for winning.

And we put back in the dexterity decrease caused by fatigue (ie. low stamina score) from previous fight codes.

RJS: From what I`ve seen this morning it seems to be a lot better! There`s still not point in challenging or accepting challenges from people with a huge stat difference because it only goes for one or two round and you get rubbish xp, but its much fairer around your own level! Thanks!!! :D :D :D

Definately something wrong with points allocation:

http://www.gremlins.reviewer.co.uk/viewmatch.asp?Index=75406

I should have 12 points for rounds won, 6 points for rounds survived and -5 points for xp difference = 13
They should have 3 points for rounds won, 6 points for rounds survived, 1 point for accepting the fight, 2 points for winning and 5 points for the knockout = 17

Instead, I get 7 and they get 9 :(

Hmmm - with the new points allocation, you`re only ever going to get a couple of points more for winning than losing.

dont like the new points system, you only ever get 2 points more than you opponent even if you win all 20 rounds, thank is def not a good thing :(
