Page 1 of Is Strength basically pointless?

Just fought Killer G, who has Stamina and Dexterity both over 800. His strength though, is set to 100. The fight went to the final round, though he won every single round on the way. Evidently this shows that strength means nothing, as my Gremlin was unable to get a blow in?

Basically if I was to create a new gremlin, as long as strength is at a reasonable level I can concentrate my XP on just stamina and dexterity - right? :/

Same here - check out http://www.gremlins.reviewer.co.uk/viewmatch.asp?Index=8930 - he takes twenty rounds off me, wins on points, and gets 22 XP, while I get NONE for hanging in the entire fight !!

It sounds like everyone is picking on poor Killer G. When he was younger all the big boys picked on him. He uped his dex and started winning a few fights. Then the rules changed and he was at a disadvantage again. The big boys and the little ones were picking on him, but he did not give up.He decided the only way for gremlins to beating him silly was to up his stamina. He worked his way up from the ghettos of rank 80 and now the bigguns are looking for an excuse for loosing.

I know, the fact that it goes to 20 rounds should surely give me some points back??

Strength is better when you are challenging higher people than you, because you can take advantage of lucky blows.

I wouldn`t say it was pointless, but now you can refuse challenges, I would say that beefing up stamina and dexterity should end up with a lot more refusals if you outclass people.

Well even if you are relatively close to gremlins, say 10 more XP in STR and DEX(I killed my gremlin and started again today) the person with lower strength can still win.

Whether my gremlin will be as lopsided as Killer G is another question - I think I will start out like that at least - I can always boost up strength later.
