There are better people on here regarding computers but untill you get further help try downloading `malawarebytes` & run that.

Quick google search says this is something to do with Virgin / Blueyonder antivirus... can you not just uninstall it and get something a bit less bloated..?

low virtual memory usually means you`re trying to do more than your PC can comfortably handle, can be caused by too many processes running, or when you closed an app, the process stayed in memory causing problems. A reboot often fixes this, if it didn`t you may have problems.

Paull`s suggestion is a good one, it`s possibly you`re running out of virtual memory as your pc is carrying out extra tasks caused by spyware, virus etc.

have a look at this thread it has links to on line anti virus tools, and anti spyware tools you can download.

it may be nothing to do with that at all.

have you installed any new software or hardware recently? What operating systems are you using? event viewer may give useful messages

in XP it`s here

start
settings
control panel
administrative tools
event viewer

other MS OSs similar place.

If you have installed Virgin`s antivirus efforts it may be a good idea to get a different package such as avast or avg (which are free) and remove the virgin one. over at cable forum http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/ people don`t usually have a good word to say about the free Virgin offering :(

On top of the aforementioned suggestions, how much RAM do you think you have installed? And how much does Windows think you have?

Also how much hard disk space have you got free?

Delete temp folders\files\cookies\cache etc

See how many apps are running at start up (task manager), then go into Start - Run - (type) MSConfig disable uneccessary services & applications that run at startup (Adobe Updater, Messenger services etc).

How many toolbars have you installed & got running on your browser?

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Never has so little had to be explained by me to so many so often.
