In Memoriam: Countess Dracula - Ingrid Pitt (1937-2010)

Another passing that has to be mentioned.  Hammer Star Ingrid Pitt - Countess Dracula, Vampire Lovers and that uncredited galley mistress voice in Octopussy bellowing "in... out... in... out"

I thought she`d go on forever (especially if she kept taking those baths...)

If I remember an interview not that long ago, nice lady with a good sense of humour.
Put the eyesight of many a young lad at risk in her day with a fangtastic upper balcony.
Also in one of the most repeated films ever `Broadsword calling Danny boy`

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary

I don`t use the word lightly but she was truly a legend of British horror.

The RIP`s a given, if you ask me.  I don`t like obit threads that are just one RIP after another, that`s why I head them "In Memoriam" to encourage folks to remember the subject and maybe share a fond memory.

I feel rather awkward sharing my particular memories ...under the circumstances! Suffice it to say that she made a very powerful impression on an adolescent boy in the early seventies. Cof...naturally ....a friend of mine. :/

She seemed a spirited sort, much liked by those who met her. :x
