ITV`s Magic Numbers

I have never made it through a full episode of this tripe but can someone tell me if I understand it correctly?
As I understand it they randomly pick 6 numbers from 0 to 9. If 2 of those selected numbers appear anywhere in either your home or mobile numbers then you get to ring their £1 a minute line to get a chance of winning sqwillions of pounds? Is that right? The reason I ask is that I think it would be more difficult to NOT have any of the numbers in your phone numbers. It seems ridiculous.
For example I bet someone on this forum has 2 of the following numbers in one of their phone numbers - 2,3,5,6,0,7. Feel free to ring my overpriced number to be in with approximately 0.0000066% chance of winning 50p.

Like all ITV shows I assume that people can also take part online?

I never understand how they make any money on those sort of things when it says you can apply for free online?! (Is it stupidity or lack of Internet access?)

Ive not seem an episode from start to finish, Ive seen bits and bobs, I thought (I could be wrong) that you need 2 or 3 of the picked numbers in your phone number, Its just a revamp of the old Philip Schofield `talking telephone numbers` show from years ago but in that if I recall you needed to match 5 or 6 numbers to your phone number, and with all the mobile numbers about these days you are pretty much odds on to have at least 2 or more of the 6 picked numbers in your phone number

Its about as much of a competition as those GMTV ones where they ask, `Who is the Prime Minister? a) David Cameron b) Cameron Diaz c) Big Ben

LOL

Yeah, I`ve seen about 10 mins of this prog. That`s how they make their money to give it away by inducing people to ring the premium rate Tel No.

I`ll stick with the lottery...........oops didn`t win again :(

Just a vehicle for putting the incredibly average Mr Mulhern on our tellies. His agent must be brilliant coz he damn well ain`t.
