Avoid spicy things and keep a diary of what you eat for a while (maybe already done this?). Usually a case of finding out what sets it off and what is safe.

I know this cos I went out with a girl for a year or so that had this. Backdoor love was never an option (she did have a strap-on though... :p ).

I suffer from Chrones disease - which is a form of IBS.
Make a diary of what you eat as everyone is different but I found that the following affects me
Tea
Jams
Fruits
Spicy/fried foods
My sister in law (who has IBS) pet grief is chicken and naans (anything with baking powder)
If you dont have one invest in some scales and monitor your weight. It will fluctuate upto 3kg a week - as in on any given day my weight is 103-106. If you notice more of a weight loss keep an eye on yourself and start eating toast - about a neutral a food as I have found.

Its not the end of the world. Look at it this way - you can lose weight fast if you want to. You have a good excuse for stuffing your face "well with my IBS i have just lost a load of weight and I need to keep my strength up"!

I have it as a side effect of my CPPS/prostatitis (or maybe it`s what caused the CPPS in the first place). Still haven`t really worked out what sets it off myself. To be fair though, it`s the least of my worries when compared to the other s***! It is quite worrying when you first get it though, so you have my sympathies. I do hope you don`t get CPPS!

Thanks for the replies. Think I will start a food diary ...and take it from there.
