OK this is going to sound weird, vague and god knows what else
Long ish story but can anyone think of something you would buy whereby you could receive different versions but yet you dont have control over the decision as to which version you get?
Given a follow up conversation about 5 minutes after this came up I have my suspicions just seeing whether you good people come up with either the same thing or something I have missed

Not trying to guess as such, but the follow up comment 5 minutes ater the intial gambit I saw as a "tell" (to use a poker term) and I`m not often wrong with the gf`s logic here
Based on that I am trying to avoid awkward xmas day/days after and/or a potential watse of money
If my hunch is wrong, then fine, I dont wanna know what the actual present is I`ll take my chances on the 25th BUT I`m not sure my hunch is wrong and I am struggling to find something that I could be missing as a potential other possibility

Some toys, like action figures, at Argos.
If you buy an item that is hand made/painted/embroidered it won`t be absolutely identical to other ones, and if you buy it on order you wouldn`t be able to pick the exact one you want.

I`m thinking bull by the horns approach is on the cards. Front up and raise my suspicion / concern now rather than risking "armageddon" come end of December :-D
If only she had said nothing to start with, hell saying nothing 5 minutes after may have also not led me to this point either LOL
At times I hate this time of year hehe :-)

Are you thinking your GF might have bought you something she thinks is generic, but you want a specific example of?
For example, my wife would maybe go and buy me a "42 inch Sony LCD"
But she`d have no clue as to the specific model I`d want.
So chances are she`d buy me one I didn`t want, unless luck played a part.
