Page 1 of Razors... where to buy?
General Forum
I`ve been hunting for months with no success so I thought I`d ask those most knowledgeable on the net ;)
I don`t want a fifty bladed, super slinky, lubricating stripped, battery powered nightmare of a thing.
I don`t want an open razor.
All I want to find is the type of handle that my Dad and generations before us used that takes the standard single razor blade made by Wilkinson Sword etc.
You know the type, spin the handle to remove the top, insert blade, screw handle back into place.
I can`t find them anywhere!
Any ideas or places anyone?

Antique shop? ;)
Seriously, haven`t seen standard razor anywhere for ages. Sorry no help
I remember them, just not seen them in stores since I was about 10! (20 years ago).
But this site seems to have them:
www.blademail.co.uk/acatalog/Classic_Twin_Edge.html
Never used them before though (recently switched to a Philips rotary head razor and not going back!)

RE: Razors... where to buy?
Miles, that`s the very chappy!
Bit put off that Fusion is classed as "new" and they`re quite expensive on those (I can get 16 Fusion blades for 22 quid currently) but it`s the one n only place I`ve found the razor so far.
Now I know it`s a WS Classic I can try that, final option is to find out how dodgy that site is or isn`t as they only charge a quid delivery.
[/edit] £3.19 @ boots and I think one of the local ones opens very late. Off to find out, Miles yer a star mate! [/edit off]

On the subject of razors can anyone recommend a good electric one. I will soon need to have a clean shaven look all the time and wet shaving gives me all kinds of problems if I don`t have at least 4 days growth.
I don`t really want to fork out hundreds of pounds unless it is something really special.
I did have a Braun electric shaver but it only lasted a year and I never really got on with it. It was the kind with the foil top and had a little cartridge of gel you put in it.
EDIT:
Found it, its called the Freeglider. Maybe I could git it fixed.

I bought this one just before Xmas, which I`m very happy with:
www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000PS6E0W
But I managed to get it for £60....its now £105!!!
But the Philips rotary models seem to be fairly good and I`m sure they have more in their range which are better value.
