Slumdog Millionaire

Absolutely blown away by this movie, I thought rights of passage movies had been done to death but the setting, cast and direction made this my favorite film of the year by a country mile, well worth the wait and I would highly recommend this to all and sundry, think Stand By Me meets Romeo and Juliet meets Goodfellas lol, it really is as close to perfect as I have seen this year and highly original too, linking it to a TV quiz show was again a masterstroke, will watch it again tonight methinks

Oops meant this to go in DVD`s and Films :(

I gotta agree, really contempoary and clever story to the movie. The only bad thing is that by watching the movie it does kinda put me off visiting Mumbai. But then again, the movie isn`t afraid to show what the culture/lifestyle is really like out there.

Thanks for the recommendation mate, just finished watching this with the wife and i aint disapointed. Brilliant film and easily one of Boyles best. Dev Patel played the lead very well i thought but everytime he was on screen i couldn`t help but remember the "Anwars gonna get his marbles gargled" line from Skins:D.

Cheers mate

Loved this film. I know Danny Boyle has directed a few decent films (Trainspotting, 28 Days Later & Millions) - but this is definitely one of his best.
