Page 1 of Charlie Brooker`s Screenwipes Series 5

The new series is starting on November 18th 2008.

Here`s what Brooker`s myspace page had to say, which by the way I had to join just to find out if it was returning, because the useless BBC website had nothing about the new series airing, the useless c***s!

Right now I`m gearing up for a new series of Screen Wipe, which returns on (I think) 18th November on good ol` BBC4. We`ve got six episodes in a row this time -- more than usual, which should be interesting because I usually start having a breakdown somewhere around episode 3. We`re doing a few `themed` shows this time round: one on advertising, another on kids` TV, a `writer`s edition`, and a `mission documentary`. There. That`s mysterious.

That takes us up to December. Then in January I`m doing something I can`t tell you about yet, followed by something new for BBC4 in March which is directly related to Screen Wipe -- and, indeed, will have the word `Wipe` in the title -- but isn`t quite the same thing at all. There there there. That`s *very* mysterious.

Good news!
I knew it was coming soon, and even saw a trail for it on BBC4 last night (unless I was dreaming - it was an odd night!), but to get a date is useful. I`ve been really good at missing stuff lately, so I`ll have to make an effort to catch this.

I`ve been watching a load of Screenwipes and few specials last night, and one of the half hour specials was him recommending The Wire, which I might check out now.
