Hi-Tech Redneck Glossary

Reboot~ What you do when yer done scratchin` yer feet.
Hardware ~ Nuts, bolts, nails, screws, etc.
Server ~ That feller who doles out the beans.
Spread sheet ~ One way of fertilizin` a field.
Point and click ~ What happens when yer gun misfires.
Cell phone ~ What you use to make yer one call from jail.
3.5 inch floppy ~ The droppin of a really small cow.
Microchip ~ That same droppin` after it`s been sittin` out in the sun for a spell.
Hard drive ~ A truck with two flat tires, stripped gears and a burnt-out clutch.

This will be a slow burning thread as things happen over the next year or two.

THO`s away with youngest two, so I can get on with stuff, sorting, selling & clearing out some of the build up of junk this week & do varying required jobs about the house, with some help from James.




I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

I hate answering the phone at work - It disturbs my sleep.

what we`re on aboot (near the end)

THO has been at her sisters for nearly 2 weeks, went up Monday (sort out wifi & other issues) & drop passports off for Canada today.

11.00 - Leave Nic`s 5 min walk to bus stop, see bus depart. >:(

11.11 - Get on next bus. :)

11.59 - Fast train to Liverpool St.

13.11 - Arrived at CHC & started queueing with James, in the first 6 or 7. :D

13.55 - Out come the officials & hand out envelopes with stamped visa`s for those that dropped them off 2 weeks ago, a few people in front depart happily (Bonus it now means I am in the first 5 & they only let you in a group that size one at a time). :D :D

14.00 - I am in the first group in to the entrance lobby, quick lecture about turning off mobiles etc & that they will have to be secured into lockers, flag the fact that I am free of phones, PDA etc as it is all with James waiting outside. Result move to front of the queue, put wallet paperwork & keys through X-Ray machine & move through the security scanner. Go through an "airlock" (door to the interior will only, when the door to the lobby is closed) move upstairs. :p

14.08 - Stand in queue & called to the desk, hand over documentation, photo`s & passports, given receipt to return with on the second Thursday. :D

14.11 - Back outside with James & contemplating where to go for lunch, before meeting THO & youngest kids at Paddington at 16.00. 8)

my buddie moved from Regina SK to Vancouver, Port Albertni BC . He has just sent me some pics and he has deer roaming out side his house.... I think im going to like BC when I go more than Regina as I can do some climbing... some awesome pics rass
