One thing to note about this printer, it DOESNT come with a USB cable or black ink cartridge. The latter Currys sell for a mere £24.99, and the former for £6.99 which are out of stock (forcing you if your desperate to fork out £13.99 for their more expensive one).
I`m sure if we can find a third party source for lexmark printer cartridges under £10 this would be a bargain.
£18.99 from Viking Direct is the best i`ve seen them so far.

I think the reason Lexmark cartridges are so expensive is the fact they have the print head built in to the catridge to give you top quality at all times, you can always use refill kits.

Manufacturers make more money off the ink sales than they do off the actual printers.
Lexmark are known as printer "whores" in the trade since they will do anything pricewise to get the big players like DSG (Dixons Sales Group) to stock them.
Lexmark bank on the fact that if they shift more printers they`ll make even more on consumables.
My advice is buy a cheap printer and refill the inks - so what if it invalidates the warranty. If it explodes eventually, go out and buy a new printer which will come with a new set of consumables.
