Greenwich is near me! Made a promotional film for the University last year! The Uni itself is awesome (huge, beautiful looking buildings), and Greenwich is a lovely area. Just VERY expensive to live in (and you wouldn`t want to live in some of the surrounding areas, believe me). Good access via the DLR to Central London, as well as a decent mainline. Highly recommended. :D

there`s always Goldsmiths as well - still South East London. That has a good reputation for PGCE stuff (got mine in Swansea though, but I know people who have been there).

Don`t get put off by Ben`s `surrounding areas` though (as many women in the SE region have been, or so I`ve heard :p )....there are good and bad places in every huge city, many next door to each other, and London is no different.

Actually, that is true. There are good and bad everywhere. Even Greenwich has one or two dodgy parts.

Sminty, sure you don`t just want to be near the abusive city guy from the other thread? You know, the one who felt threatened by Tithers.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Not sure if it is still the case, but all of the education stuff for Greenwich used to be run out of the Eltham campus (which is nowhere near as nice as Greenwich)...
