``WATCH SKY IN ANOTHER ROOM`` - How do you obtain additional receivers?
Hi All,
I have sky in the front room, and was wondering how I could transmit the sky to other rooms in my case the kitchen next door and a bedroom upstairs (and the ability to change channels).
What is the most effective, least messy and cheap solution?
Thanks,
Chris

RE: How watch SKY TV in other rooms?
Yes, that`ll do it, but of course, you can only watch the one same channel in all rooms. ;)
I rigged up an RF lead from the Sky box in my living room to our bedroom about 8 or 9 years ago, when video senders either weren`t on the market or were horendously expensive (can`t remember) I bought an FM remote control transmitter/receiver set for about £70 (look like 2 little black pyramids) and that did the trick for us, but of course the Sky signal upstairs was only in mono which is a pity. (I have all the sound going through a micro hi-fi in the bedroom, as the portable TV is obviously just mono)
I have never bothered to invest in a video sender as the current set up works for us, but this is what I would have gone for if I was doing it now.
I`m fairly certain that if you buy one video sender kit, you`ll be able to buy an additional receiver on a form inside the box. You don`t need or want 2 transmitters, of course.

If I buy a transmitter and receiver set, can you buy an additional receiver so I can watch the tv in 3 different rooms?

As I said in the post above, I`m fairly certain that you can. Ask to see inside the box before you buy, and check if there are details inside on how to buy additional receivers. Buy one that has this option inside. (I noticed Argos sell several so at least one should give that option)
