Page 1 of Channel 4 - Alternative Xmas Speech

Apparently Channel 4 will, at the same time as the Queen;s Speech, be showing their "alternative christmas speech" which is to be given by a Muslim woman wearing a veil

Any thoughts?

Is it offensive? Attention seeking? Is a muslim woman about to be used on some media stunt? etc etc etc

They do it every year with some minority group if my memory serves me right. I never watch as i am in the pub. You about for the footy tonight?

In the past it`s been Sharon Osbourne, Marge Simpson and Ali G.

I`ve never watched the above (never seen the queens either) but I remember they always publicise it every year.

I think it is attention seeking really to have it as a muslim women as they know there will be a bit of controversy over it. (Wouldn`t suprise me if it turns out to be Avid Merrion or something)
