my own chillie sauce. I got fed up with all those mamby pamby "hot" chillie sauces and decided to make my own.
Off I went to Tesco and bought Scotch Bonnets and Bird Eye chillies, a quick slice and dice later I am left with the flesh of the chilies in one jar (now covered in olive oil) and the seeds in another.
2 days later my hands are still burning from the chillie pepper juice that I got on my hands. This should be a great sauce. 8) :D
I hate to think what this is going to do to my insides.
Credo!
RE: I just made ....
Sounds nice and as Johnny Cash used to sing "Ring of fire" is on the way !
Chillis are the new cure for some cancers, apparently. It is the capsicum (sp) in them.

Pretty painful on the gonads if you forget to wash your hands
Luckily I have not (yet) had that particular problem, but I have learnt that even though I haven`t touched the sauce since, it is still very painful to put my contacts in. LOL.

I had that problem with my helmet even after washing hands. The 4 ladies I was dining with that night have called me Chilli Willie ever since (It`s been a long 8 years).
I`ve heard you shouldn`t rub your eye after handling chillies, but I didn`t think it applied to the old jap`s eye... ;) :o
I found it quite an interesting sensation when I "scratched" after forgetting to wash my hands after cutting chillis. Kinda like Deep Heat almost.

Often make my own chilli sauce. :)
Fresh chillis, garlic, coriander, shallots, tomato and lime juice. In a blender.
Yes it can burn. :o
Made the last one with Red Savina Habanero chillis. World record holder for the hottest chilli. Grew them myself this year - was told it is illegal to buy/sell the chilli - don`t know if that`s true though.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

I was just gonna warn you not to make the mistake I made if you wear contacts!! It was easy getting them out, but I got a shock the next day when I put them back in. Now I know why pepper spray is so effective!
