What does your full setup consist of?

Ant-dvds (Competent) posted this on Friday, 26th October 2001, 12:49

Many people on here ask questions not just about dvd but also about which tv, amp, speakers to buy etc. but we rarely hear the results as to what people bought in the end and what peoples full setup consists of.

I thought it may be interesting [ or maybe not ;-) ] to post what I decided on and maybe others would like to post there setup i.e. not just the dvd player.

Anyway after many questions and all the great advice given in this group over the last few months here is what I ended up with:

Picture:
TV - Toshiba 36" CRT (36ZP18)
DVD - Pioneer 444

Sound:
Receiver - Yamaha RXV620
Fronts - Mission M73
Rears - Mission M7DS
Centre - Mission M7C
Sub - None yet

Connections
Scarts - B-Tech
Speaker Cable - QED

Well seen as I am both new to DVD and the world (relatively, to you guys) I don`t have a hugely fantastic setup, but it does me just fine for the time being. Hopefully, when I have run out of anti-money, I will upgrade everything. Yep.

I have:

Picture:
TV - Fidelity 14" (it was free ok!)
DVD - Proline DVD-1000

Sound:
Videologic Digitheatre

Connections:
Coax to Digitheatre and whatever else free cables came with it for everything else. Weak.

Well thats all I have. Anyone feel like donating anything? I could do with it.

But I do feel that it is more important to buy DVDs rather than to get more hardware. Or that is my excuse at least.

Aye.
