New Anti Violent Web Porn Law - How they gonna Police this one then??

So does this rest on each individual police officer - then lawyer - then ultimately judge & jury whether or not to say `yes that is offensive or not`. Everybody has there own perception of what is right or wrong. Its not as though we are dealing with kiddie poorn here which we all know is wrong.
Aren`t these images/stories/films etc made by consenting adults? Where does this stop? Think this is another step to the world of a big brother nanny state.
So am I breaking the law as I have films such as `Thriller..A Cruel Picture` and `Scrapbook` to name but a few?
Better go loose me black gimp mask, whips, chains & 12 inch black double ended dildo then!!! :o :D

I thought I had heard that the credit card companes were going to help by monitoring payments for these sites - could be wrong though, I was not really listening too closely to it all
Also, it isnt whether the content is "offensive" it is whether it is deemed violent. Examples given were images / media showing internal or external injuries being caused, rape at gun point, that sort of thing.
If that is the case then, as you state re Kiddie porn, people know its wrong and it should be easy to determine what is to be effectively illegal

There`s some pretty vile stuff on the likes of rotten.com and shows like `Jackass` and `Dirty Sanchez` show people being hurt at the risk of injury or death - will they be banned? What about journalists who watch hostages being executed as part of their job, will they be arrested?
It seems like a law that is, for the most part, unenforceable as the only people it will catch out are those who use their credit card to pay to visit sites that charge.

I thought it was just covering what was all ready in the obsene publications act, but for the internet and computers.
Now, I like porn. I have never hid that. I have what some, what would be classed as extream porn. I also sometimes like to have what would be classed as extream or (proberbly) ilegal sex. (with a consenting person) If we were to film ourselves in the privacy oh my own home and put it on my computer (for our own use) and it was found lets say, during a repair. Can I get banged up for 3 years?

technically yes, but for different reason. Bizarre magazine often has articles about S&M etc, and it can be technically illegal here `cos you`re hurting some-one. maybe it`s if you draw blood, even if the people are consenting. So that`s about as vague as the proposed law then ;)

laws on consent have tended to hinge on the severity of the action. a man who tattooed his wife`s buttocks had his conviction quashed, not entirely based on the fact that his wife had consented to it, but because the action had no overtly aggressive or sado-masochistic element. in turn, s&m fetishists have gotten into legal bother because the activities they`ve engaged in (i.e. nailing scrotums to wooden boards and pouring hot wax into a man`s urethra) aren`t lawful to begin with. you can only consent to a lawful act.

There is a specific law about pouring was about pouring wax down me japs eye?!!! LOL. I would have loved to be at the meeting for that one.
So, many moons ago I was seeing a girl. She tied me up, and lightly cut me (blood letting) with a carving knife on the chest whilst teasing me with it in other "areas". So I could get done for that even though I was more than happy for her to do it?
Ridiculous.

Surely the only way anyone could be prosecuted in that example would be if you pressed charges against her with the police ??
