Is it just me or are football shirt manufacturers ripping us off this year ?

In previous years i`ve been able to buy new Liverpool shirts from high street sports shops from £24.99 - £29.99.
This year it seems that all these retailers or the manufacturers have agreed to stick with a price of £39.99 (robbing bastards).

Business as normal for clubs outside the Premiership.

Spare a thought for those wanting a Celtic shirt with their new players name on the back - reported in the Daily record that it would cost £66.00 in total for the shirt with the name and number.

I thought that they always ripped us off (well, you lot, can`t stand the game actually. My highlight is when Man U. get stuffed so that I can phone my nephews and taunt them :D ).

Probably going to start at heated debate - not my intention - but why oh why does religion always have to play apart in football especially the Celtic V Rangers thing?
My wife is from Glasgow and all her family support Rangers - however I never hear them bringing up this IRA crap etc etc.
We went to Prague last year for a few days - unfortunately the outbound flight was full of Celtic supporters as Celtic wrere playing Sparta. The flight was delayed for 2 hours because the fans wouldn`t calm down chanting IRA support songs - this was in Manchester so didn`t go down too well with the police. For the whole flight we had to endure this and it wasn`t pleasant.
Thought this thing was in the past - or is it one of those subjects like racism in football - we all hope it is out but we all now that there will always be an element of bigotted racists attending wanting to cause trouble.
Am I looking in at the world with rose tinted spectacles?? :/

Rangers are protestants,Celtic are Cafflicks.
If you`re Glaswegian, you will be asked one of two questions when another Glaswegian meets you.
Which team do you support,or which school did you go to.
Which side of the city you`re from is everything.
UEFA/FIFA is trying to end the bigotry side of the Celtic/Rangers thing, coz everyone apart from them is sick to death of it,but I doubt they`ll have much success.
Parkhead and Ibrox are their churches.
They go to berate each other in numbers, the football being secondary to getting one over the other.
They even chant about each other when playing other teams, which just completely bemuses the opposition fans.
I was at Pittodrie the day after the Armagh shopping centre bomb.
Celtic were there, belting out their pro-IRA songs. :(

If I did get a choice of which town to nuke,Glasgow would be right at the top,for sure.

Well, it saves on my phone bill ;) . To be honest, all I`ve heard them talking about are the other teams (Arsenal and Chelski) and if they`re winning or loosing :/ .
