Easily worth a six month ban - or more - in my view. Because of its severity, video evidence should also be given to the police.

Absolutely awful wasn't it.. How can he justify flying in like that and then twatting Mendez with his elbow as well. He really swung it into his chin - a total and utter nasty bastard.

And its not as if it's the first time either.. didn't he puncture someone's lung before?

The "tackle" was bad, the punch / elbow truly disgusting.

I am not sure I agree with being nicked for assault as I am not one for introducing the police into sporting arenas. That said if they did nick him for it I couldnt argue it

I`m not sure, but he`s renowned to be a nasty bastard. Probably one of the last `hardmen` to come from Wimbeldon FC. Should be banned for at least 3 months in my opinion.

Seeing as the ref booked him during the game for the incident I am not sure he can get anything further due to the whole "unless the referee does not see it there is no grounds for reviewing the incident after the game" type ruling that seems to be in place
