Andreas Katsulas - G`Kar, The one armed man & Tomalak
Andreas Katsulas - who played lead "Star Trek: The Next Generation" Romulan Tomalak, the big-screen one-armed man in the Harrison Ford "Fugitive" and lizard-man G'Kar in "Babylon 5" - has died of lung cancer at age 59.
Truely a very sad loss, I personally thought that the man & his voice in B5 spoke far more volumes & made him truely beliveable as a alien far more than just his makeup.
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

I always thought G`kar would live forever.
Sad, sad news.

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...
And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...

Man thats sad. I was watching ST:TNG the other day and thought "thats G`Kar." I remember watching one of the interviews on the DVD extras mentioning on the B5 stages Andreas was always hanging around outside smoking like a chimney. I guess it finally caught up with him. :(

He brought such a depth to the role of G`kar and truly made the journey of his character throughout the series believable. I can`t think of any performances using such heavy prosthetics that come close to his as G`kar.
Very sad.
