Why I Dislike The Police So Much

Taken from today`s Daily Record.

"Oliver Snow is only two years old but has already fallen foul of the law while driving his battery-powered jeep.
The toddler was trundling along a pavement at 2mph near his home in Leyland Lancashire, when he was pulled over by a police officer.

The boy`s granddad thought the constable was joking. But the officer warned him Oliver could be charged for having no tax or MOT."

Also

An oap had ask the waste of space ooh sorry police for help when a 12 year old hoodie repeatedly kicked his door at all hours day and night. They spoke to the boy but did nothing and the kicking continued. The oap eventually confronted him, grabbed him by the hood and bumped him against the door. He was charged with assault and was fined £200.

In another case, an OAP who is a double mugging victim photocopied banknotes on one side and Got Ya on the blank side. Police found them and he was charged with having counterfeit currency. He pleaded guilty and now faces 9 months in jail. If sent to jail his sick wife faces being placed in a nursing home.

Whoever said "The Law is an ass" in my opinion spoke the truth.

When are these idiot police going to start chasing proper criminals?

The Road Traffic Act still applies to this buggy... wait until after christmas when all the kids get their shiney new mini-motos confiscated and they get reported to the courts for motoring offences. :D

Very sad indeed. However i am sure not all Police Officers are the same. It is a shame though that these kind of things happen and it does give the impression that the police want the easy nick for their figures.

I once got pulled over by a traffic cop Re: my numberplate. It was 4mm to close in the middle. ie instead of J40 KAL it read J40KAL. Sad eh? I now have a legal plate. >:(

Do you drive a white van and have a copy of the sun / sport on the dashboard???? :D

There never seems to be stories in the trash rags that report the great job that our police staff, yes I write staff cause its not just the frontline staff who help as each day... on no they concerntrate on the small numbers of incidents such as the one`s that you have kindly brought to our attention.

The law is an ass there is no argument, but there is many a time when I have been more than happy to see a police officer, apart from that time when climbing out of the shower room window at the six form private girls school but the tablets are now working honest officer lol....

Its so easy to point out the small number of nutters that should never get a job working with the public, we all have stories of dodgy coppers but think about all the other dodgy people in other jobs aswell and it evens out.

Rant over I thank you :D

mmm chocolate

actually.. the police didn`t "pull him over" for this.. he was repremanded for driving on the pavement in a motorised vehicle.. and no.. the road traffic act does not apply to this type of vehicle it is exempt

Quote:
Under the Road Traffic Act 1998, any mechanically-propelled vehicle has to be registered with the DVLA and have proper insurance, MoT and road tax.

But electrically-propelled pedal cycles and vehicles such as Oliver`s jeep and certain classes of mobility scooters are exempt.

how can anyone justify such a waste of time and effort and such bloody mindedness is beyond me..

This isn`t really the fault of the police, if you have to blame something, then blame the law. Maybe the thread should be called `Why I dislike the Law so much`.

Haggis please read article below

These bikes are nothing more than a nuisance

Where I live we get kids riding up and down the main road without a care in the world, all for a bit of fun

The problem with these bikes is they are ridden by kids who are too big for them and they are difficult to control
