Chinese SUV* scores worst ever crash results (*Do NOT Buy)
The first Chinese car to be sold in Europe has scored zero the worst-ever score in safety tests.
The JiangLing Landwind was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week and is expected to arrive in British showrooms within months. It is already on sale in Holland, Germany and Belgium and has been billed as the vanguard of a new invasion of Chinese vehicles.
The two-ton 4x4 scored zero stars in crash tests last week by the ADAC, the German automobile club, which carries out tests for Euro NCAP. "It had a catastrophic result," said a spokesman for the ADAC. "In our 20-year history no car has performed as badly."
Take a look at the videos, unbelievable!

Then they did it AGAIN and not at 64km/h (40mph) but down to 54km/h (33mph)

After the airbag saves you (well kind of), the steering colum plows into your face just to make sure you are dead. Oh, how nice!

Cunning design that, including the front seating area as part of the crumple zone. I particularly liked the way the front wheel retracts into the driver`s lap to avoid damage.

I`ve seen a photo of the crash dummy after one of the tests where IIRC it`s legs had been forced up over it`s head. At one point on the video I thought the dummy was being decapitated by the steering wheel!
Would the car have exploded in real life?
No-one in the world is driving one of these, surely?! (Well if they were they`re probably all dead after someone *looked* at the car wrong or a leaf fell on it! :o)

Would the car have exploded in real life?
at the speeds stated you are looking at what would happen if the car hit a solid, stationary object, iea wall, if it hit another car the results would be very different.
still very scary, no-one in there right mind should buy one of these, has it been passed to use in the U.K. ? or does the test qualify it all across europe ?
