I know I`m getting old but, does anyone remember the name of the round `Minstrels` shaped chocolate you get in the Revels bags? Just like Minstrels but without the crispy coating.
I remember buying bags of (just) them as a child but can`t remember what they were called. People I have spoken to can`t even remember being able to buy them other than mixed in with Revels.
Is my mind playing tricks on me or is it like the time I asked people if they remember the ITV children`s TV show `Kids from 47A`? I found out the info by googling it. Haven`t found these sweets though because I don`t remember the name!! I seem to remember a giraffe but don`t know if it`s connected to advertising these sweets though.
HELP... my minds bursting! People don`t believe me!

Hi Jill,
The sweets you are referring to where Galaxy Counters!
They came in a mainly white packet with 70`s style cartoon animals. The Owl was the one I remember most but there may well have been a Giraffe.

I think they had numbers on them and in fact there was a Galaxy Counter TV advert that got many complaints where kids were showing what numbers they`d got and one couldn`t make up his mind if it was a 6 or a 9. He get turning it upside down and saying "69 69 69". This caused a lot of giggling when I was at school!

Yes
"Galaxy Counters" rings a bell with me, but nothing I can put a finger on.
I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.
