Balls of steel...worst programme ever ?

bowfer (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 30th August 2005, 11:22

I finally got around to watching an episode of this last night ( Sky+ )
My god...
Apart from p***ed up students, can you see anyone else enjoying this ?
I must admit,I openly clapped the guy that punched the ` Annoying Devil ` that threw dirty water/paint over a window that a windowcleaner had just finished.
To hear this prick bleating "alright mate..it`s not worth killing me for" was the only funny bit of the programme... :/ :D

Every one of them ( bar the woman, obviously ) is asking for a slap.
I couldn`t give a toss about the colour of anyone`s skin, but if they were to go `off on one` like that with me,they`d get a slap.
As for some tosser chucking paint (or whatever it is) over my car as I drive out of a carwash...
I`d have to be dragged off the twat.
It revels in making a complete arse of people in the most vile ways.
Dog crap on a pelican crossing button ????
What the hell is funny about that ???? >:(
My wife lifts our daughter up to press the button on those things. >:(

It`s like `Game for a laugh` without the imagination or class. >:( >:( >:(

I long for the day when one of them is pictured with a bleeding nose.

I think Dom Joly is planning on suing. Although Trigger Happy TV wasn`t exactly totally original, at least it could be hilarious. Ball Of Steel has ambitions to lick its boots, but probably never will...

I must admit i have only caught the first half each week so far.

Found some bits "unfunny" but couldn`t help chuckling with "Big Gay Following"

childish and immature i know - but i still chuckle to myself now. :*

As a teacher I think i have the responsibility to find out what the kids may be copying and doing in my lessons... ;)

I reckon "Big Gay Following", "Stranger Rodeo" are definates...

what say you?

I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad

Trigger happy was `cheeky` but,as far as I can remember, never actually malicious or damaging like this pile of tripe.
I will buy the DVD of `Balls of Steel` though,if they promise to include all the times their `comedians` get a kick in the nads. :D

Mark Dolan ( the presenter ) did a fantastic show 2 or 3 years ago called The Richard Taylor Interviews.

It was a series of spoof job interviews and was hiliarious, I would love to see it again but am disappointed with this Balls of Stell thing.

why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive

Watched one episode. I won`t again. A load of demeaning rubbish.

gotta say, this is why I don`t watch TV (and so don`t have to pay the licence). Why blow £120/yr on crap when you can spend it on DVDs like Law & Order or Malcolm in the Middle etc etc and watch WHAT you want, WHEN you want. Which is a bonus when working my hours.

(and yes Batavia I should be studying...)

Indeed you should!!
I agree. Spend money on DVD`s would be a lot better than the TV we have these days. Friday and Saturday night`s are abysmal. The only thing I now watch are (BB, of course, but can watch that on the computer), the odd film and documentaries.
I know several people that have ditched the TV`s out of the home, now.
