jeffthegun (Elite) posted this on Tuesday, 16th August 2005, 11:50

Does anyone know where to get cheap footy shirts?

Im not bothered about last seasons kit or where they come from. What im after is cheap shirts because im going somewhere hot and humid and football shirts are the best things for it.

Was going to recommend them myself. Delivery takes around 5 days from order, but they are a reliable company and bloody cheap. Got to get myself a new Spurs shirt at some point.

On the high street, Sport soccer with its neverending `closing down sale` has cheap shirts - sometimes as little as £5 for an out-of-date one.

Surely you`re not suggesting you`d wear the shirt of a team you don`t support ? :/

Cheers Neil! Bagged a France away for 9.99.

Yeah, Bowfer, I would. I like football shirts and have collected quite a few since I was a Kid. I wouldnt ever wear a British League club other than Derby, but I figure anything `Foreign` is fair game (its also harder to tell `last years shirt`). There are loads of shirts out there that look really cool. Loads of the south american ones and the MLS.

Some of the Japanese one are decent too. Ive got a Japanese Granpus 8 (the one Lineker used to play for) which has their nickname, `The Noble Barbarians` stitched right across the arse. Which is worth the price of admission alone.

Im going to Bangkok, where you can get fakies for 2 or 3 quid, so I need one for the flight and while im travelling.

The thing is, regardless of their chavvy image, Football tops are very practical. They are lightweight, breatheable and the white ones really deflect the heat (which is why ive gone for the white france one). In my experience, if you are going on a long journey like this its by far the best thing to wear.

Aaah,now that`s the clarification I was seeking..
Correct answer.

I`m all for foreign shirts, especially if they wind up the opposition of your `enemy`.
For example,I tried to get a Bratislava shirt last week,to wind up Celtic fans. 8)

Heh, tell me about it. My brothers got an anderlecht shirt he used to wear to Derby v Forest games. Not many people got it but when they did it was priceless.
