Page 1 of Why does Ricky Gervais hate Jonathon Ross?

Saw Ricky Gervais on Jonathon Ross last night and i thought it was pretty obvious that Ricky doesn`t like him.

Then i logged on to Ricky`s website (which has some really funny stuff, by the way) and there`s one clip there where he`s talking to his cat Ollie (given to him by Ross) and in that Ricky has a few digs at Jonathon Ross as well.

Just wondering if anyone else picked up on this and has any explanation why ricky might hate him.

I`ve always thought it was just a bit of banter between them :/

I`m sure he doesn`t hate him, given that he`s on his show about 3 times a year.

They are very good friends, in fact. Just chummy banter really.

Yeah, this is true. However, there were quite a few awkward pauses with ricky just giving one word answers, and i felt he was definately pretty p***ed off when jonathon pressed him to do his dance. Still, maybe it is just banter between the two of them.

they are the best of freinds,which if you had seen all their meetings youd be able to tell, they are just freindly bantering for the tv,trying to get one up on each other.

Jonathon Ross is like that with all the comedians, it`s just banter really he does it with Eddie Izzard as well.

If Ricky didn`t like him he wouldn`t of gone on his show.

Yeah - I definately got the impression that they are good mates, and were just trying to get one up on each other on the show. It was an excellent interview and great TV!

Ricky Gervais is one of comedies best writers, and quite a humble chappie it seems. Said "no" to "Mission Impossible 3" to go into a smaller film as he thought he would not be too good in "MI3".
