I thought of this on the way home tonight. There used to be a really good animated cartoon with a theme along the lines of:
"nab him, grab him, stop that pigeon, NOW !"
Along the lines of the Wacky Races / Penelope Pitstop era.
Can anyone name it ?

RE: Stop that pigeon now !!
dastardley & mutley me thinks
"stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon, stop that pigeon now"
maybe i`m wrong uuuuhhhhhhhhh dunno not 100% sure
Yep
`twas that very cartoon by Hanna/Barbera.
What was it that Muttley used to say when DD did him down?
Sounded like "Sagafragarasin` Rick Rasterdley grrrrrrr...."
:-)

yer it was dastardly and mutley.. and funnily enough it was called... stop the pidgeon.... now theres a thing...... ;0)
It was "Catch the pigeon" - Remember Mutley`s helicopter tail ?
Sorry Chivalry, but it was called -
`Dastardley & Muttley and their Flying Machines` (admittedly in the US of A)
I think BBC shortend it to `Dastardley & Muttley`
But that`s the BBC - always cutting out something!

ok, spot on, i did get it right then obviously,
( i`m not the only old one around though) always a first for everything

Weren`t they all WW1 Flyers? Very Germanic if I recall correctly (Dasdardly was always a bit of a Fascist).
I used to hoot at the guy who talked like this:
"We`ll root-dring-chirp-click that pigeon"
I had a mate who talked like that. :D

Dick Dastardley always used to remind me of Terry Thomas (in `Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines` )
Grunt Boy - Your m8 wasn`t called Klunk, by any chance........:-)

Did I tell you I have a handle-bar moustache and a snickering mutt that keeps chomping my leg/arm?
