Page 1 of Championship (Div 1) Play-Off Dates

Does anyone know when and where the play-offs are going to be played? As far as I am aware Ipswich have West Ham and Preston have Derby.

/Also If its at the millenium stadium would you need to get tickets from cardiff box office or from the respective teams?

1st Leg = Saturday 14th May or Sunday 15th May
2nd Leg = Wednesday 18th May or Thursday 19th May

They are being played at the club`s own ground with the club in the higher position getting the home tie in the 2nd leg.

thanks for the info, do you know if the away goal rule will be applicable for the games?

In the Play-Offs extra time and penalties apply , but there is no away goals rule.

It didn`t last year cos Sunderland went out on pens after drawing 4-4 with Palace. We scored 2 away goals to their one.
When the play offs first started away goals did count as we were relegated on away goals to Gillingham.
I`m not bitter though...Honest.

Well, if you`d told me on saturday we were playing preston, I wouldnt have thanked you because theyve been a bit of a bogey team for us for the last few seasons. But the result yesterday was a real sweetener and I think we can go all the way (we being Derby, natch).

I think it will be Derby v West Ham in the final and I wouldnt like to call it from there. One things for sure, im getting a ticket to cardiff if we make it!

Surely you will do all three games no? The two legged matches are always a cracking atmosphere, well speaking as a West Ham fan that is :)

And i`ll be at them all (providing we make the final of course! :)

Its all about Ipswich, I think Derby have a good chance of getting to the final which i`ll love because George Burley is a legend but at the end of the day we`ve played better all season so fingers crossed :D

Speaking as a neutral (ie. a Sheffield United fan that`s yet again just missed out) I have an almost illogical feeling that West Ham will do it.

You`re absolutely right that it`s all about Ipswich but they seem like they`ve lost that spark that they were playing with earlier in the season. The times that I`ve seen West Ham they`ve been so inconsistent but seem like the type of side that can turn it on in the big games.

Fancy Derby to get past Preston as well. Would be nice to see Burley back in the Premiership, nobody deserves it more - but just can`t see it somehow...
