KFC (READ THE WARNING)

Maxknight007 (Competent) posted this on Sunday, 13th February 2005, 03:33

Hello all,

In keeping with the Nestle thread and the thread about the poor rabbit I think this video about KFC`s chickens should be seen.

The site is owned by PETA (yes I know they can go a bit far on animal rights in some situations) but the nature of this is, I think, very important.

This link contains a site which hosts very graphic video of cruelty to animals. (I hope it is not against the forum rules, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED) http://www.peta.org/feat/moorefield/

Never will I eat in a KFC again.

Regards
Max

Well I you`re on your own on this one, oh and by the way, you might as well avoid Macdonalds, Burger King, any supermarket stores.

I have never ever believed in these propaganda bulls*** made by PETA, or any animal group, and the same goes for these so called friends of the earth.

This was an american supplier not an english chicken supplier.... what the staff did to the chickens was widely repoerted around 18mths ago but IMHO KFC should change supplier and done so in a very public manner.

The state should have charged the offenders with animal cruelty, but this does not stop me eating KFC, what does stop me eating KFC is dirty staff and under cooked chicken... any meat processing method is cruel but if joe public (me included) wants cheap fast food, morons such as these whom are brain dead and willing to do a crap job for crap pay will have a roll.

such is life

so this is you`re opinion of every member of staff that kfc/mcdonalds/supplier etc employ ? thats gotta be the most over simplified discriminatory comment ever made :/ and is no better than racism.

chris think you got the wrong end of the stick... I would call someone that treated any animal in that manner as a moron.

There is an old saying pay someone crap money and you will get a crap job, this is the case most of the time now as unfortunately a lot of people do not care about doing the job well etc....

As to staff in fast food joints I refer you to my second paragarph.... you do not often see happy well paid staff in fast food joints, why is this???? I make a point of being polite and curtious as I do not like added special sauce on my food lol

No amount of bad pay justifies taking it out on other animals - human or non-human.

I have seen the chickens get their own back in my local KFC.

A person on the text table to me started to choke on the bones, so a back thumping was required to help the poor sod breathe. Followd by an emergency crews oxygen.

So, next time you dig into a bargain bucket of KFC, remember the `wraif of the chicken` :D YOU HAVE BEBN WARNED !

ok :D i`d just got my arse out of bed and was half asleep when i posted my reply, so i deffo went a bit ott, sorry about that.

But re= what does stop me eating KFC is dirty staff and under cooked chicken...

saying all the staff are dirty is still out of order, i cant speak for the outlets near you but all my local kfc`s etc are always spotless, apart from 1, but as vandals keep ripping the doors of the "rubbish" area (around the side of the drive through) even thats not really there fault. just try to remember there are many millions of people who have to get by on minimum rate wages (i`m only on 20p an hour more than the minimum rate, not taking into account attendance bonus etc) just because they have s***ty jobs & pay does not make them any lower than someone on £50k + a year.

Chris, maybe I should be a bit clearer as you seem to take my comments as extremist? If I go into any food place that is dirty I do an about turn. In Manchester where I live there are many KFC`s and other fast food places, I have had many an upset tum over the years. I did not state all staff are dirty as the KFC on Stockport road opposite from Mcvities is my fav KFC as they are always clean, polite but more importantly cook the chicken thru

I feel that the argument of minimum wage is s***e, the average young person paid s***e money will give you a s***e return, if on the other hand you pay them better money you tend to get a better product be it fast food or blue blocks.

I did not state that people on minimum wage are "lower" than anyone else did not know where that one came from as I did not infer that.

Tried to stand on a soap box but as I am a fat billy my feet went through and am just hoping of the side doh.....
