HI
Having just watched Summer of Sam with which I was not too impressed.
Has anyone counted how many times the "F" word is used in it.I think it must be every other word. Now whilst I am very open minded about this and think that it`s use is justified in quite a few cases. Not every other word for F***s sake :-)

So you didn`t object to the orgy scene then?

Great film, but yeah there is no need for that much swearing but to be honest it didn`t bother me...after all they are only words.

I`m afraid I `ve got to disagree, the language is/was part of the ambience of the place and time. It`s like Billy Elliot, that much swearing in the story of a 12 year old boy who needs to dance might be considered extreme. However, it`s necessary for the "grim oop north" scene and just like SOS it`s very funny in places. And SOS is an 18 cert. so it`s going to be explicit. (That`s the point of an 18, right?)

I didn`t have a problem with the swearing at all and thought that it was appropriate for this kind of film, I think that it did not receive the acclaim it deserved. The extras packed r2 disc is one of the best `full price` buys in my collection.

I actually didn`t say I had a problem with the swearing, just thought they went a bit over the top with it.
Didn`t like the film either , the characters were also over the top as well imho.
