round where i live the council are partly on strike the binmen (contractors i think) and the local council office are on strike... its only a few ppl ab0ut 200 or so localised action
my backyard dont half stink tho : ) rubbishs been piling up for a week now
at the end of the day i know there fighting for beter pay and all that but i think they should get back to work PRONTO
well they say you dont know what you`ve got til its gone, maybe you will appreciate what they do more in future instead of taking them for granted. And yes they do deserve fair pay and if they`re (not there!!) not getting it then what choice do they have but to strike. you should be campaigning for fair pay so they go back to work quicker instead of moaning.

About now im having amnesia and deja vu. I think Ive forgotten this before :D
My cousins a bin man & he`s happy as a pig in muck from all account, while I couldn`t say that he`s raking it in, he apparently gets shift bonus for starting at 4am, is done by 12 or 1pm, gets Christmas tips from his customers & is far more relaxed & content about his life than his brother in a much higher paid & stressful job.

I know one guy who,after losing his highly paid offshore job,took a temporary job as a bin man to make end meet.
Years later,he`s still doing it.
They`re surprisingly well paid,apparently.
