Liverpool vs Arsenal (Possible spoiler)
I was expecting Liverpool to get absolutely stuffed by Arsenal but to say I am surprised and pleased with the result is a huge understatement. It was a good game with 3 top class goals that can be seen over and over again.
Liverpool 2 - 1 Arsenal :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Bet the Chelsea fans are as pleased as I am!

RE: Liverpool vs Arsenal (Possible spoiler)
Why were you expecting us to get stuffed today? They were lucky last season vs us and were lucky not to be down to 10 men and 2-0 down today.
Hope Pongolle is ok - ANOTHER forward out would be just too much.
Great finish from Mellor
C`mon the RedMen. YNWA.

I was expecting the worst because we were without our 2 first choice strikers, Luis Garcia injured, Gerrard just coming back from injury and our defence has looked shaky. When Arsenal have Viera, Henry, Reyes and an ability to make goals from nothing, I was expecting them to turn around their recent (relatively) poor form in the Premiership and take it out on Liverpool.
Long may results like this continue!

Arsenal looked very average and were played off the park for a lot of the game....since the end of the unbeaten run they have been far from unbeatable...... :/

A great result for liverpool. Arsenal were beaten fair and square and they can have no arguments. The Liverpool defence was very tight and kept Henry and co. at bay for most of the match.

Just come back from the game. :D :D :D :D :D :D
Don`t want to dwell on a negative... but for those who watched it on TV, was anything said about Kewell`s performance??? He was sooooooooooooooooooo bad and can`t believe he played the 90 mins.
Didn`t think we played with 2 strikers either - Pongolle played most of the game on the right wing. :/ Though Carra was fantastic. :D
Still, GREAT RESULT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Ste
We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

Yes, they mentioned him quite alot - he was appalling and it was hard for them to avoid talking about him.
Very happy to see Liverpool win; I live with an Arsenal fan and its nice to see them lose and Spurs win for a change. Arsenal didn`t even deserve the draw, everything about them today was mediocre apart from their goal. So it was great to see Mellor score when he did, especially in the way he did. :D
BTW, whats with the picture in the sig? :o
Oh my God, Bear is driving! How can that be?

Andy Gray made the point that Liverpool fans are perfectly justified in feeling that they did not get their money`s worth when Liverpool splashed out for Kewell. I would love to know why he, and Viduka, were so good when playing for Leeds in a losing cause but are so bad away from Elland Road.

Kewell was s***e long before Leeds sold him...to be honest it was a relief when he went, Id have been glad to see the back of him a season months earlier....he was just going thru the motions taking the money and playing like an arse for most of his last 2 seasons at Elland road...money paid a bigger part in his move than the need to sell him (as was the reason for most of the players leaving last season) He wanted far too much for the effort he was putting in (hence the singing of `One greedy bastard...theres only one greedy bastard` when he returnrd to Leeds last season)... Viduka on the other hand was ok, but lost heart towards the end of the season and all the bookings and the sending off were obviously signs of his frustration. I think hes doing ok at `Boro, he and Jimmy are possibly one of the best strike partnerships in the premiership on their day, they are in a bit of a barren spell at the minute but I dont think it will last too much longer.
