Whats the most you have paid or would pay for a Dvd

royd (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 28th April 2001, 15:14

Having just read Chris Cox`s article on double discs and the rip off U.K prices.
I must admit I would never pay full price for a dvd, and the most ! have paid is £19.99 for Terminator 2 double disc. Was just wondering what anyone else has paid.Strikes me as long as prices are this high here we have to fight back buy searching out bargains.

17.99 for T2 Ultimate Edition. That was a one off. i had to pay full price cos no where else was it cheaper. got it from play24/7 and delivered in 2 days. where did u get yours from? Looks like u`ve been done out of a couple of quid. Normally i wont pay over £13.50-14 inc postage. I use foreign sites and 3 for 2 offers at smiths and other places. i refuse to play inflated high street prices for dvds as they are a rip off.

I`m afraid I paid considerably more for T2 UE when it came out, in the region of £27. At the time it seemed almost impossible to get. I`m only mildly bitter and twisted though as it`s such a good disc.
I try to get multi-buys now, but I would still pay upto £18.00 for a good disc.
Guess I`m part of the problem!

Hi
Sorry that should have read £17.99. From future entertainment it was the special 3 version edition.

I paid £18.50 for Se7en (2-disc) as I couldnt help myself..........it was just too tempting at the time. I would buy discs off the net if I could - but I cant so I dont.

Shame.

like everybody else i paid £17-99 for t2:edition. but the most ive paid is £60-00 but that was for the nightmare on elm street boxset r1.i thought that was a bargain as everywhere else was chargin £100-00 or more with p+p on top.but i tend not to go over £20-00 and hardly ever buy r2 discs.

Most? £63 for Buffy Series 2 Box set

for a single disc, £24 for T2 before I discover play247. I got it from Amazon.com instead.

Least, £2 for Sixth Sense, yes thats 2 pounds, amazon refunded my postage twice by accident.
