new Wharfedale 750s - worth swapping it for my old one?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone new if the extra feeatures on the new Wharf justify taking my 6 month old one back to Tescos on the basis of it not playing my R2 Jaws, Leon etc.

As I understand it already supports DTS anyway (badge or no badge), and are the fast forward options that important? Also, if there are already problems with 5 disks, what is the likelihood of more in the future, especially if Jaws was a Spielberg disk problem? I would like to get Private Ryan when it (finally) comes out on R2.

Any other opinions form you other wharfies before I take it back?

When I spoke to the nice chap at Wharfedale, he basically said the new model is very much aimed at continuing the spirit of the old one.

However, it is quite possible that since it has firmware from a completely different manufacturer which is not as yet as fully tested in the market place as the current model, things may turn up that don`t work which did on the 750.

Bought a wharfedale last week, plays Jaws fine(although not all the extras!). No DTS on the front either. Still a bargain but how long do you have to keep upgrading just to use the thing for what it was bult for?
