Truly sad news. And now my last reason for listening to Radio 1 had gone. A uniquely eclectic and amusing dj.
:o Very sad news; he was a great DJ, a music lover and a Liverpool fan :(
My Top 20 Horror Movies ---- My DVD Collection
I just saw it on Times Online after I heard the news - Shocked and very sad :( RIP- Will be greatly missed by many, young and old...
What a very very sad day :(
As well as being a great D J, John was an all round decent bloke
He will be truly missed. :(
As a person who was lucky enough to see his personal record collection, I can safely say his legacy will last for a long long time.
RIP John Ravenscroft: The true Spirit of the underground.
What im listening to (if youre interested)
I heard this news about half an hour ago and its only just sinking in. He had one of the voices that kept you hooked no mater what the subject he was talking about, and he really had a passion for what he did.
A true british legend.....
Stunned, absolutely stunned. One of the TRUE great radio DJ`s. How many bands owed John their careers??? This is a genuinely huge loss to British radio, and these are not words I use lightly.
I met him once at the Hammersmith Palais at a Jesus And Mary Chain concert - must have been 1985 or thereabouts.
I remember & still have on tape the moving tribute he paid to Roy Orbison after Roy`s death. R.I.P.
I had my own opinions, all good, which I will keep to myself..........I couldn`t find the words which would be respectful enough. :(
:(
Cheers, Marty :(

He will be sorely missed by us all. :(
If Mac users are "more intelligent than the average computer user," why do they need an operating system designed for complete idiots?
