Page 1 of YELO 800 ?

CAN ANY ONE HELP ME I AM NEW TO DVD AND WAS THINKING OF GETTING A SCAN BUT HAVE SEEN THE PROBLEMS LISTED BUT I HAVE SEEN THE BITS FOR THE YELO 800 BUT IT LOOKS THE SAME AS THE SMART 2000 ANEY REVUES ON THIS PLAYER ?

I hAD A SCAN player and sent it back twice. I have purchased a yelo 800 player but have yet to recive it as it was only launched yesterday. I phoned inter dvd and they confirm that it is more or less the same as the smart 2000 but is of a higher spec and for about £80.00 less in price. They have sold a lot of the players to discruntled Scan owners.

It is also a better build quality to the SMART 3000, which is why InterDVD withdrew it from service.

I asked interDVD for more tech specs and whether I could speak to one of the Yelo engineers. I have`nt approached Yelo yet, but please use the following info if like-minded.

To be honest with you, I`m not all that technically minded, but I can
(hopefully) point you in the right direction. Their is a spec on our website
(http://www.interdvd.co.uk) in the hardware section or you could go to the
Yelo website which is http://www.yelo.ws and is very useful, and a
translator is not needed. It explains all about the company and their
products. They also have a dedicated Customer Service Centre which you can
ring with questions etc. Their number is 0208-366-0000.

Anyone know if this player will output PAL50 from an NTSC disc?

It should do, the main reason for a UK machine having a converter is to convert the signal to uk Video standards.
