i got my dinosaur dvd today. it came outr in the morning and i got in the afternoon hows that for service. However it does not play on my goodmans dvd3000 is this the dvd fault or hardware? I have 2 other disney dvds and they play perfect.
Hi dicanio.
Did it come up with the `parental violation` screen ?
It`s just that I had a report over at my site (Area 450) that an Afreey LD2060 refuses to play `Tarzan` and `The Tigger Movie`, both Disney releases, that came up with this ?
Or did it just refuse to play point blank ?
The problems with Toy Story 3 (yet another Ol` Big Ears release) are well documented here, with a lot of budget players falling foul of the discs.
If so, I think it`s time we saw what Nicky Campbell is made of on Watchdog, and had another go at Disney, and especially the distributors, again.
At first the player didnt even recognise the disc then i switched it off and on again and it recognised it but justy a black screen came with no writing. i`ll pop it back in the mail tomorow and hopefully get a refund
I`ve had the same problem with Dinosaur on both R1 & R2 Discs on My Proline 2000DVD player (which is pretty much the same machine as the goodmans)
The screen just goes black and the machine locks up while trying to read the disc, you can`t stop it and the eject button doesn`t work even from power so I had major problems even getting the disc out!
This is a shame because this machine has previously played ever disc I`ve thrown at it even RCE discs

My Dinosaur disk works fine... at least it does upto about the 5th chapter, when the subtitles voluntarily appear. At first I thought I had sat on the remote control, but then remembered all of the problems that those arseholes at Disney has leashed upon us. When I watched it for the second time it occured more frequently.
I`m thinking of exchanging it for another, does anyone know if it will happen again on my SAMSUNG 709?
I had the same problems with the proline 2000. Disk2 said there was no disk in the cd tray, and disk 1 locked it up.
I did find that if you switch it off from the mains and switch it on again, quickly keep pushing the eject button to get it out.
I took it back to comet and they admitted it won`t play Dinosaur but have sent it off for me to have the firmware upgraded. The problem is it can take up to 2 weeks.
Why can`t Oriotron may it downloadable at least then it can be burnt to disk.
I am hoping that when it comes back the lip-sync in Gladiator will be solved as well.
Like everone says "you get what you pay for"
