If you can , get a loan of a copy of the Driving Test Theory CD. If you cannot manage to borrow a copy I think you can get it for about £12 to £15 .
TBH it is well worth the money and it is always there should your skills need refreshing in the future.

Don`t sweat!...........just write the answers on the palm of your hand and don`t look suspicious. Remember, if you hear any bells that means there`s a cow approaching - so watch your back.

I would try and get some real practice for the hazard perception bit of the test. That is what I(and most people there on my first time) had most trouble with(one out of four people I spoke to passed, the person who passed managed 45, which is right on the borderline between pass and fail(if I remember rightly)).
Personally I think its just a scam to make more money out of people. The whole hazard perception bit of it is fundamentally flawed. First, if you click too early you get NO points. This means if you see the hazard before you were supposed to you wind up with nothing. Second, whilst you are warned against clicking the mouse a lot I tried it with my last question and that garnered the best result.
How does this show judgement?
If only I`d taken my Theory test a month earlier... I would probably be a fully licensed driver by now. As it is, I am doing my theory test for a third time. And the price has been put up since september. Like I said, just one more way of making money from us poor schmoes. And considering some of the idiots out there who can`t drive properly, I don`t really think its fair.
But fair isn`t the point, at least 10% of the reason for the hazard perception part of it is to make us safer drivers. The rest of the reason is for the extra money they are making out of it.
Edit: just realised this sounds like a rant which it is
So, my advice is, get plenty of practice if you can because that way you`ll be able to develop a solid method of beating the system that works for you. Maybe next time I`ll be lucky enough to get the right videos to win.

I second getting the cd rom but you can get one which has the hazard perception clips on too(the sme as used in the actual test)
My husband got this and passed his theory first time after only practicing for a month(he got a 100% too)
We got ours brand new and sealed for £10 of a well known auction site. ;)

I have `Driving test success` cd-rom... it`s a mishmash of theory and practical tips... practice manoeuvres, etc. `Tis quite good!
I have my practical on April 5th... not bad considering was suppose to be October 2002! OOPS! :D I gotta get my practical passed by September, as my theory runs out then... Don`t wanna have to take again! :(
Anywho, good luck with the theory!! :D
