This has to be the most striking car in F1 today (and I`m a WilliamsF1 supporter!). We`ve got this `interesting` new nose on the FW26, which is performing well in tests so far, but this new R24 just looks nice and curvy. :D
Can`t wait till March to see the first race of the season! Should I be getting this excited about cars? Yes. Always. It`s going to be a good season, especially now that there`s no more launch control or automatic gearboxes. :D

RE: Renault`s new R24 F1 car, nice!
yes yes very nice but i still think it will be the big red one. I do like the new nose, but hope it does not get poked into the back of too many cars, what ever the colour.

I always like the Ferrari 412T1 car from 1994 ( John Barnard designed it) the side pods looked great.
I can`t find a decent pic other than this model! (If the link works)

Purely based on aesthetic ? beauty for my money the most beautiful of all modern, last 20 years, F1 cars was the Stewart of a few years ago.
Absolutely buckin feautiful :)
Choagy :)
PS as you are a Williams fan, how quick do you the think the old brown stuff will hit the fan if Montoya need Ralfie to do him favours . Considering the team know Montoya is leaving next season I reckon the minute things go pear shaped the team will collapse in one acrimonious heap.

Knowing that both drivers want to win, if Ralfie couldn`t mathematically/realistically win, I think he`d help Monty, albeit begrudgingly. The Championship, regardless of Monty moving to McLaren, is important for team and driver and raises the value of both, so I`m sure the team will stand strong. Technically and professionally it`s a strong team, just look at the latter half of the 2003 season to see the team get it together, finally.
I`m looking forward to seeing how all teams fair as I want Renault and Toyota to do well this season just to up the ante. Jaguar and even BAR are getting better too. Jordan, despite the Brazilian win last year, won`t get up to the giddy heights of 4th in the constructors again for a very long time, maybe the next ice age. Sauber, with the almost identical Ferrari looking car will be interesting to see and Fisichella might have more luck this season.
Yes the Stewart Ford was a nice car too, nice styling. Poor Herbert though, he had the worst luck in F1 and it didn`t do Stewart many favours.
Roll on 2004. I just have to plan which races to attend... :D

There lies the problem. Over the last couple of seasons JPM has spent quite a bit of time complaining of how he felt team tactics were not maximising his championship chances. Neither driver has actually made things easier or overtly helped their team mate so I think the likelihood is the same would happen this year.
Either way I am looking forward to a great season and by the looks of it the extra £7,000,000 each team is getting should help Minardi Jordan and Sauber survive and compete? for a bit longer.

I read somewhere that Montoya spends all his time complaining, being awkward and generally a bit of a primadonna.I think it was one of the Williams team who said if you thought working with Mansell was difficult its nothing compared to Montoya.Personally i think he is good value as he seems to say what he thinks and hes not afraid to have a go on the track.
Roll on the 2004 motorsport/bike season.Just a pity theres no UK drivers in World Rally.
We know that Monty and Ralfie are not buddies so we`ll have to wait to see what the season brings on. I personally don`t rate Ralf that highly, he`s a good driver, but not an outstanding one. For me he`s the same as Barichello. When you have a German engine though, I suppose it`s good for the sponsors to have a German driver in a top three team. I wonder who`ll partner Ralfie in 2005 and if he`ll extend his contract to stay. Rumours have Toyota interested in him.
I wouldn`t be surprised if the stuff about Monty is true, though that wouldn`t really help things in the team if he thinks that he`s all that. Williams/Head/Ron Dennis rate him as a driver.
Monty, Alonso, Shuey snr. and Kimi with Webber in the midfield make for an interesting lineup.
I might go to my first bike race at Brands. I think that would be cool. :D

now that there`s no more launch control or automatic gearboxes
does this mean no more paddle controls and back to conventional gearsticks or is this asking too much?
