Blimey, I didn`t know this chap had died.

He made one or two hit Movies and also starred in a few American Sitcoms.
He was quite a funny man.

Regards,

Neil.

Very sad to hear this - when did this happen as I seem to have missed mention of it on CBS News today.

Most recently he played the father of the main character in the excellent TV comedy Scrubs on Channel 4.

Wasn`t he Robot Step dad in Buffy (season 4)?
It`s very sad.

Most people will remember him from IT, playing the adult Ben Hanscom.

If youve not seen it yet, there would be no finer tribute than to give it a watch.

Six days short of his 55th birthday. John Ritter played the male lead in the US version of "Man About The House". As Sue says, he also played "Ted", the robot stepdad from hell in the Buffy episode of the same name. He also played Frank Frank, the cameraman in "Nickelodeon".

It would have been very quick. I`m sure everybody`s thoughts are with his wife, Amy Yasbeck and his son Jason.

I have an open mind - everything goes in one ear and out the other.
