Page 1 of Samsung DVD 709 - What remote to get?

So I have a Samsung DVD 709, which is a slightly older model but was upgraded before I bought it from Dixons on 10/01/00.

How can I tell what version of the firmware it has?

Assuming it is version 3.27, where can I get an Aiwa RC-TN999 to make it multi-region?

Is this the only remote that works?

I believe you can use the same All for one`s listed on our hacks page, but Im unsure exactly of the codes for them.

I think you set it up as before, but use the magic code 078, which you press quickly twice. The mechanics of this I`m not entirely sure of.
