eBay scammers at it again

Just a warning that the con artists are once again active. They are sending eBay users an email asking for telephone number confirmation and claiming account problems which may result in you being deregistered from eBay - then directing you to a very convincing "eBay" webpage which asks for all of your credit card details etc. This is a scam so do not reply. eBay and PayPal would NEVER ask for any details in such an email

I would say using PayPal is fine just DON`T leave any money in it you don`t mind losing. Empty it out into your bank account on a regular basis. Obviously this isn`t much of an issue if you use it primarily for paying rather than selling.

RE Paypal
I simply pay in the exact amount from my credit card which as well as giving more time to actually pay for it ( I always pay off my CC statement in full, Always :) )also gives a bit longer to justify my purchases to the missus. :)

I have sold around 3000 items (average value £10 each) on Ebay and 95% of my Buyers pay via PayPal. Only had one dodgy sale where the buyer was using a stolen card.

Have often had upto £2500 in my PayPal account (withdraw funds once a month) during the past 12 months - no problems yet!
